So this year, I’ve decided to travel more of the Philippines, starting with the far-flung locales of my future graphic novel. I’m still not done with world-building, of the future in 17 years time. But its an exciting new endeavor – travel again as the pandemic subsides, and see what is out there…
Elizabeth and Juliet Samson, my characters, frequent Mindanao for example. But I’ve never personally been there. Imagination can only go so far.
Or in my novel, Hunting the Rememberer: Chimera Anamnesis – Mina fondly remembers her year-long mostly-solo road trip of North America. I’ve gone on road trips with family, but never alone. It’ll be fun, I suppose, if I’m properly prepared for the trip.
But since cars are a headache here, I’m looking to scooter my way across 7,000+++ islands. Just need to fix up my drivers license and actually buy my wheels and all the kit… I have friends with their own scooters who plan to join me for this, from time to time.
It’ll be fun. 🙂
