That Sense of Destiny

I have a few stories, still unfinished, that have to do with a sense of destiny – not for a specific character, but for humanity as a whole or for some large chunk of human kind…

Like what happens to the fate of all Filipinos in the Middle East when one young man goes there to rescue his mother – not with the diplomatic skills of international law as in the timeline that the Custostempi (time travellers/ time keepers) know but rather as an ex-soldier with a special sort of telekinetic skill that could cause a mass casualty incident with international repercussions.

Or what happens when a woman with a tendency towards the psychic dies horribly abroad, entangling and powerfully haunting the entire support system that failed her?

Or what happens when humankind realizes that the universe is no longer expanding, but it has begun to shrink and will eventually end within their time? What will they do?

I love these scenarios.

Each of these stories has its own place in my universe. An order in which it should be told. I hope I have the chance to tell all of them, in due time.
