When I’ve been staring at a screen for too long, it helps me to close my laptop and focus on something else for a while. Something that makes my hands move in ways besides typing. Rest my brain a little but exercise a different part of it with a puzzle or an art project. Or swing swords for fun. But today, it’s been puzzles, tedious little things with adhesives and tweezers and colorful plastic pieces. It’s a hobby. It’s art. It’s me doing something besides braining words onto the page. And I find it helps clear my mind for a while, so I can return to my keyboard refreshed.
I don’t have much to say today. I spent maybe six to eight hours piecing together my plastic puzzle today. I am happy with the outcome, even if it promises many more hours of tedious assembly. It got the stress out of my brain, at least. 🙂
Long weekend delights, I suppose.
