Four weeks ago, I had a surgery. When I came home from the hospital, I started this website and I’ve made it a goal to blog every day I’m on vacation since. It helped me a lot. Four weeks later, I’m only starting to feel a little bit of cabin fever. Four weeks later, I’m only starting to run out of ideas to blog.
This is the first time in weeks that I didn’t have a reservoir of pre-drafted blog posts at least 12 hours if not days in advance of my posting schedule.
Having a regular posting schedule (it goes up every 8:00 am Philippine time) has done wonders for me. Whereas in previous vacations and lockdowns, I did not have this same routine, now I wake up around 5-7am, check my blog, make sure its posted by 8am, and I sometimes add a social media post about it no later than 12nn if I can manage it. Having something to read and write has helped push back any chance towards cabin fever this time around.
This realization makes me happy. 🙂 I wonder what life would be like, if I could live as a writer without any more need for my day job to give me needed brainwork and whatnot challenges. Without any more need to rely on my day job financially, too… That though, may be tomorrow’s blog. We’ll see.
